This Privacy Policy explains how GGATHER (“we”, “us”, or the “club”) handles information when you visit this website (the “Site”) or use it to reserve a place at one of our community game nights. GGATHER is a members-run gaming club, and we try to collect as little personal information as we reasonably can.
Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us and a small amount of technical data:
- RSVP details. When you reserve a seat, we collect the name and email address you enter, the night you select, and whether you plan to bring a friend.
- Messages. If you contact a host, we keep what you send us so we can reply.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting may automatically log limited technical information such as browser type and general device details to keep the Site secure and working.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- hold your seat and set up a station for the night you chose;
- let a host contact you about your RSVP or a change to a game night;
- keep the season points league and the standings board up to date;
- maintain the safety, security, and smooth running of the Site.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Legal basis and consent
We process your RSVP details because you ask us to arrange your visit. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you may withdraw it at any time by asking a host to remove your details.
Sharing your information
Your details are seen by the volunteer hosts who organise the nights. We may share limited information with the service providers who host this Site or handle our booking data, and only so they can perform those services on our behalf. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not otherwise share your information with third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep RSVP and contact details only for as long as needed to run the club and its season league, after which they are deleted or anonymised. League nicknames and scores may be kept as part of the season record.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or limit certain processing. To make a request, speak to a host at a game night and we will help.
Children
The Site is intended for a general audience. Younger players are welcome at the club with a parent or guardian, but we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children without appropriate consent.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
